Why use stainless steel? You should use stainless steel because carbon steel can rust. You need material that won't bleed rust stains or lose its thickness over time when it's outside, near the coast, or in a place where it stays wet. A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel meet this requirement.

A stainless steel concrete screw cuts threads that fit directly into concrete, brick, or block. No sleeve for expansion. No glue that contains chemicals. There is no separate anchor body.

Standard fasteners don't work near salt water. In Florida dock projects, we've seen galvanized screws rust red after just 18 months.

3. Fall protection which is critical for safety

Handrails, balcony railings, and guardrails need anchors that function effectively in cracked concrete.

Our designs that meet ETA standards are approved for:Posts for balcony railings、Handrails for stairs、Protection against the roof edge、Guardrails on the mezzanine.

The requirement for damaged concrete is that you need anchors that have been tested and approved for weakened conditions if the concrete cracks over time (due to thermal movement, settlement, or seismic activity). This is what our SIN-SSD series does.

We suggest that you not over-specify. 304 stainless is a good value if your project is inland and not exposed to moisture all the time. 316 is the only option that won't cause callbacks if you're near saltwater or in an industrial chemical setting.

stainless steel concrete screw anchors Installation: Getting the Performance You Paid For

The installation of stainless concrete screws is what makes it work. This is what we've learned from 19 years of feedback in the field.
Step 1: Make a Hole

Hammer drills with carbide bits are recommended. The bit must be the same size as the screw (6mm screw = 6mm bit). To compensate for dust, drill depth = embedment depth + 10 mm

Step 2: Clean the hole

Everyone tends to skip this step. Concrete dust left in the hole can weaken it up to 50% weaker. You have two choices: Most effective: compressed air Alternatively, use a hand pump and wire brush (at least 4–5 cleaning cycles).

Step 3: Turn on the screw.

Use an electric wrench or an impact driver. Apply moderate speed – do not drive full throttle Stop when the head touches the fixture. Avoid over-torquing it.
