Sealed Rivets Factory | Waterproof Sealed Blind Rivets Wholesale | Sinsun

Our products stand out in the market with reliable sealing stability and long-term durability. We adopt integrated tail sealing technology instead of traditional secondary crimping, which effectively avoids seal cracking and gap leakage after long-term use.

Product Introduction: What Are Sealed Rivets?

Sealed rivets are professional closed-end latch fasteners, featuring a fully enclosed tail structure to completely prevent liquid, dust and gas from passing through. This product is known on the world market by many popular trade names: sealed blind rivets, open end rivets, waterproof glued pop rivets, plastic pop rivets etc. European industrial buyers call them closed blind rivets, South American and South East Asian importers call them weather welded rivets. Unlike open-end rivets with hollow tail gaps, these rivets have a solid solid tail that eliminates internal cavity exposure. They are the ideal solution to common industrial pain points such as internal rusting, water ingress, dust accumulation and fastening failure. This is caused by harsh environmental conditions.

We produce high quality welded rivets with unique structural optimisation that differentiates our products from normal market versions. Most common waterproof rivets of general use crimp the tail in a simple way, with poor tightness and short waterproof life. We use integrated one-piece sealing moulding technology and high-precision tail sealing treatment for every welded pop rivet. Our products after being finished can keep stable waterproof and dustproof performance in the long-term humid and corrosive environment. In addition to pressure waterproofing, each batch is tested for airtightness. With support for custom size and material options, we provide consistent sealing performance and long life to suit a wide range of industrial and outdoor applications.

Sinsun Key Applications for Sealed Pop Rivets

  • Outdoor & Open-Air Facility Assembly+

    Outdoor & Open-Air Facility Assembly

Outdoor equipment is subject to rain, dew and dust which readily rust and loosen ordinary rivets. Sealed rivets prevent external moisture and dust from entering the rivet inner cavity. The stable sealing structure keeps the tightness of fastening under outdoor weather change. It can prolong the service life of outdoor metal structures and protective coatings significantly. These rivets are extensively used by municipal and landscape engineering teams for long-term stability.

Corrosion can easily occur in general fasteners due to marine salt content and humidity. Sealed blind rivets resist salt water erosion and electrochemical corrosion well. The fully closed construction inhibits internal rust expansion leading to assembly distortion. These rivets keep equipment shells secure and intact during long-term maritime operations. They are common fasteners for internal parts of ships and auxiliary facilities of offshore structures.

Installation Guidelines of the sinsun sealed rivets

Sealed rivets require slightly more pulling force than open-end rivets because the mandrel locks inside the body. A quality pneumatic or battery-powered rivet gun makes the job faster and easier. Hand tools work fine for smaller diameters, but for 4.8mm and above, we recommend a powered tool.

Step 1 – Drill the correct hole size.
Use our size chart above as your reference. Too tight, and the rivet won’t insert. Too loose, and the seal may not form properly. A sharp drill bit run at moderate speed gives you a clean, burr-free hole.
Step 2 – Insert the rivet fully.
Push the rivet into the hole until the head seats flush against the near-side material. No gap. No tilt. The sealed tail should be fully inserted behind the workpiece.
Step 3 – Set the rivet with your tool.
Use any standard blind rivet gun—manual, pneumatic, or battery-powered. Match your tool’s nosepiece to the rivet diameter. Pull the trigger or squeeze the handles steadily until the mandrel breaks.
Step 4 – Inspect the set.
A properly set sealed rivet will have the mandrel broken flush with the rivet head. The blind side should show a clean, expanded bulb that fills the hole completely. If you see gaps or incomplete expansion, check your hole size and material stack thickness.

Selection Guide: Choosing the Right Sealed Rivet

When to choose Dome Head Sealed Rivets
When to choose Dome Head Sealed Rivets:
  • You need a standard, easy-to-install option
  • The visible appearance matters but a small protrusion is acceptable
  • General-purpose sealing applications like electronics, lighting, white goods
  • Most common and cost-effective sealed rivet optionapplications
When to choose Countersunk Sealed Rivets:
  • A flush or near-flush surface finish is required
  • Aerodynamics or water flow over the surface matters
  • Aesthetics are critical—visible rivets should not interrupt the visual line
  • Requires a pre-countersunk hole (100° or 120° angle)
When to choose Countersunk Sealed Rivets
When to choose Large Flange Sealed Rivets
When to choose Large Flange Sealed Rivets:
  • The near-side material is soft, thin, or brittle
  • You’re fastening into fiberglass, plastic, or thin aluminum
  • RV roof panels, trailer walls, or marine interiors where pull-through is a risk
  • No separate washer needed—the flange distributes load directly

What Our Global Clients Say: Use Cases

user70
"Norwegian fjords mean saltwater, rain, and freezing temperatures—a brutal test for any fastener. We used open-end rivets for our boat equipment mounts for years, but moisture always found a way through. Sinsun’s stainless steel sealed rivets changed everything. After two years in the field, zero leaks, zero corrosion. The 100% mandrel retention means no rattling components either. We’ve standardized on Sinsun for all our marine product lines.”

User Persona45
““S?o Paulo’s humidity and sudden rainstorms destroyed three batches of our outdoor LED drivers before we traced the problem to water ingress through open rivets. We tested sealed rivets from four suppliers. Sinsun’s closed-end pop rivets performed best in our immersion tests—no leaks at 2 meters of water pressure. Their factory team helped us select the right aluminum/stainless combination for our enclosures. Lead times were honest, pricing was competitive, and quality has been consistent across every shipment”
02
– Carlos M. – Operations Director Electronics Manufacturer (Brazil)
User Persona33
“Our refrigerated trailers cross the Alps in winter and sit in Mediterranean heat in summer. Temperature swings cause expansion and contraction that loosens standard fasteners. Open-end rivets leaked water into our insulation panels—expensive repairs. Sinsun’s large flange sealed rivets solved it. The closed-end design stays watertight. The oversize head spreads load on our aluminum roof panels. And the mandrel retention prevents internal rattling. Three years of service, and we’ve had zero fastener-related warranty claims”
