Sinsun Ramset Concrete Nails – Precision-Engineered for Powder-Actuated Tools
The Sinsun Ramset concrete nails are designed to work with both high-speed and low-speed powder-actuated tools, making them suitable for any fastening application. Each nail is made of high-carbon steel and hardened to a core hardness of HRC 48–52. As a result, they are guaranteed to go straight through concrete, masonry blocks, and structural steel.

1. Putting together the basement and fastening the bottom plate
Contractors use Sinsun Ramset nails to attach treated lumber bottom plates to concrete slabs in the basements of homes and businesses all over the US and Canada. In addition to the nails going through the 2x4 or 2x6 plates and into the slab, steel plates are mounted on either side of the wall to keep the whole structure stable.

2. Anchoring with concrete blocks and cinder blocks
In the Gulf region, masons and steel fixers use Sinsun Ramset nails to attach anchor plates, electrical boxes, and light steel framing to concrete block walls. The fluted shank makes a mechanical lock inside the block's solid webs or hollow cells.

3. Brick Ties & Masonry Anchoring
When putting plywood subfloor over concrete slabs in high-rise apartments, contractors use Sinsun Ramset nails because they are fast and strong. When you fire it, the orange plastic collar either comes off or gets stuck in the plywood, leaving a smooth surface for the finished flooring. This leaves a smooth surface for the finished flooring.

Pro tip: If the nail doesn't set flush on the first attempt, do NOT fire a second charge over the same nail – this can fracture the concrete. Instead, move to the next power level for subsequent fasteners.

Will these nails work with my Ramset tool?

Yes, Sinsun Ramset concrete nails are made to the same size standards as OEM nails. They work with all Ramset powder-actuated tools, such as the MasterShot, Powershot, and T2, as well as tools from other well-known brands like Hilti.
What does the orange plastic collar do?

The orange plastic strip (collation) does two things: it keeps the nails together for magazine feeding and it helps the nail go straight through the tool barrel. When you fire the collar, it either comes off completely or gets stuck in the wood. Either way, it doesn't change how well the nail holds.
Why do my ramset nails for concrete sometimes not go all the way in?

This usually happens when the power load is too light for the density of the concrete, or when the concrete is older and stiffer than expected. Try changing the load color, like from green to yellow. If the concrete is more than five years old, start with yellow loads.
Can I use these nails on cinder blocks?

Yes, of course. Sinsun fluted Ramset nails are effective for holding things together in concrete and cinder block. The flutes make a mechanical lock in the block material, which holds very well.

How should I store these nails?

Store in a dry environment. While the nails have a protective coating, prolonged exposure to moisture can cause surface rust. Keep in original packaging until ready to use.
