When regular screws don't reach deep enough, Sinsun's long concrete screws provide the extra reach you need. These screws come in lengths of 6 to 12 inches and diameters of 1/4 and 3/8 inches. They have a partial thread design, which means that the smooth upper shank can easily pass through thick wood, insulation, or multi-layer assemblies, while the lower aggressive threads cut directly into masonry, brick, or block. The pull-out strength of each screw is the same as our standard line: 425 pounds for 1/4" diameter and 1,200 pounds for 3/8" diameter. No epoxy, no through-bolting, and no access from the back is required. The only thing you need to do is make one hole and drive it in.
Sinsun has been manufacturing long screws since 2005, and they do everything in-house. Four separate heat treatment lines ensure the hardness the same along the entire 12-inch length. Japanese thread rollers can handle long blanks with 0.02 mm tolerances.
Specialized straightening tools guarantee that every screw drives straight. Long concrete screws are self-tapping masonry anchors that are longer than normal, usually between 6 and 12 inches—so they can penetrate through thick materials and still be properly embedded in the base of concrete.
The threaded part is only where it needs to be, which is usually between 1-1/2" and 2-1/2".
The top part is not threaded so it can pass through the fixture material without getting stuck.

Standard screws can't pass through thick materials and still be properly embedded.
A 4" screw that runs through 2" of wood only has 2" left to embed, but you need at least 1" to do so, so it's possible but tight. A 4" screw won't work at all on 3" of wood.
